A collection of annual reports from recent years.
Published annual reports
Each Independent Monitoring Board produces an annual report, and almost all choose to make these reports available to the public. IMBs can download guidance and the annual report template. Click here
It is also a good idea to send a press release with each annual report. For example, Heathrow IMB obtained national coverage with a feature in the Independent (new window). Guidance can be obtained from the Annual Reports Officer in the Secretariat.
Diversity statements should be included at the beginning of each Annual Report. A word version of a sample statement is available. The statement can be used and adapted for Boards to develop their own diversity statements. Click here

Please note that if a report spans two years it will be located in the folder relating to the second year. For example 2005-2006 Annual Reports will be found in the 2006 folder.

The Prisons' Minister writes a reply to each Annual Report which will be accessible from here as and when they are received.
Reporting times
Since there are more than 150 boards, reporting times are staggered throughout the year.
