Becoming a member of your local Independent Monitoring Board (IMB)
There are currently over 1,850 IMB members attached to prisons, immigration removal centres and short-term holding facilities throughout England and Wales, and vacancies arise on a regular basis.
Further down in this section you can find out what sort of people become IMB members, what you can expect to get out of the role and how you can apply to join us.
The IMB had a stand at Forum3, the recruitment exhibition for the not-for-profit sector at the Business Design Centre, Islington. It was a pleasure to meet many potential new IMB members at the event, who are warmly invited to contact us in order to take their application further.
